About the Event and Race Schedule:
The Cordell Class of 2016 is pleased to present the 2012 Running a Blue Streak Race. This exciting event will be held on Saturday Morning, March 31, 2012 at 606 East Third in Cordell, Oklahoma, and will include a timed 5km run and a Kid’s Fun Run.
Proceeds benefit the the Cordell Class of 2016.
7:00 AM: Race Day Registration Opens.
8:00 AM: 5K Start.
Fun Run to follow after 5K starts
Timing Chip Collection
After you finish the race, please return your timing tag in the finish chute. Volunteers will be available to assist you with chip removal.
Runners who do not return their tags will be charged a $20 lost tag fee.
About the Course
2012 Running a Blue Streak Race will be contested on a USATF certified course and is a USATF sanctioned event. The course will start at 606 East Third.
Awards, Prizes and Timing
The following categories will receive awards:
- Overall male and female (Top 3 for each).
- Standard age group runners (first 3 finishers).
- All entrants will receive a commemorative Running a Blue Streak t-shirt.
Race Entry Fees
Pre-registered by mail or in person $30.00, February 7-March 15, 2012.
Race Day: $35.00
Kids’ Fun Run: $15
Cordell High School: Sherri Pankhurst or Amy Boecker
Electronic Timing
The 5k run will be timed using electronic timing by Time Line Results. All runners and walkers entered in the 5km run will need to wear a timing device on their shoe in order to receive a time and finish result. Timing devices will be distributed on race day at the timing-tag pick-up table which will be located next to the registration area.
